In an awe-inspiring display, Larson showcased his dominance in this off-season debut, exhibiting his full spectrum of skills while maneuvering swiftly around the track. His gripping battle with Logan Seavey culminated in a breathtaking final lap, clinching the preliminary segment of the Hangtown 100 at Placerville with an impressive margin of 2.564 seconds ahead of Seavey.

In the same event, Jade Avedisian, the fresh addition to Toyota Racing’s development roster, commenced from 12th position and showcased a remarkable performance, securing a commendable fourth place.

This remarkable win marked Larson’s 26th victory in the USAC National Midget circuit, elevating him to the 17th position in the sport’s illustrious history. Larson’s achievement sees him surpassing the likes of Darren Hagen, Parnelli Jones, and Dave Strickland in the all-time wins list.

Larson, reflecting on this triumph, expressed his contentment at returning to Victory Lane in the USAC Midgets. He acknowledged this win as a refreshing turn of events, especially after competing in approximately 10 to 12 races over the past couple of years, marking his longest stretch without securing a midget race win.

Addressing the media, Larson shared his sentiments, stating, ‘It was a thrilling experience to return to victory lane in a midget. While it’s not a racing discipline I frequently pursue, it’s been a few years since my last midget race win. Having participated in 10 or 12 midget races over this period, this victory holds a special place.’
