NASCAR Canada Series: Reimagining Canadian Motorsports in 2024

NASCAR’s acclaimed Canadian racing series is set for a remarkable transformation in 2024 as it rebrands to the “NASCAR Canada Series,” with Evirum and Pinty’s stepping in as Presenting Partners. This shift marks the 18th season of top-tier motorsport action in Canada, previously known as the NASCAR Pinty’s Series.

Announcing the 2024 schedule, NASCAR officials highlighted a lineup of 13 races spanning six provinces, offering a thrilling panorama for Canadian motorsports enthusiasts.

Chad Seigler, NASCAR’s chief international officer, lauded the fervent spirit of Canadian motorsports fans, emphasizing the series’ emphasis on national pride. He underlined the involvement of eminent Canadian racing talents competing across the nation’s premier tracks, expressing excitement to deliver top-notch racing experiences to fans across Canada.

The series’ key sponsors, Pinty’s and Evirum, step into pivotal roles as Presenting Partners. Their investment extends beyond mere series support, permeating across teams, tracks, and fan engagements.

Julien Remillard, Evirum’s president, expressed enthusiasm regarding the company’s collaboration with NASCAR Canada, positioning Evirum as the Official Residual Materials Management and Environmental Solutions Provider. He highlighted Evirum’s recent involvement in aiding drivers, race promoters, and track operators, affirming the partnership as a natural progression aligning with their expanding presence in North America.

Yanick Gervais, president and CEO of Olymel, echoed the sentiments, affirming Pinty’s commitment to supporting motorsports in Canada through its association with NASCAR Canada. He proudly announced a new race in Quebec as part of this collaborative effort.

The 2024 schedule promises a blend of traditional events alongside exciting novelties. Notably, the season finale at Autodrome Montmagny will mark the series’ inaugural visit to the track and the first-ever series finale in Quebec (Sept. 22). Commencing the season, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) will host the opening race on Victoria Day weekend (May 19), reinstating a cherished tradition from 2011 to 2019.

Further, Riverside Speedway in Nova Scotia will witness a doubleheader weekend (June 29-30), contributing to an East Coast Swing post the Eastbound Speedway event in Newfoundland and Labrador (June 22).

The much-anticipated dirt race at Ohsweken Speedway will make a return in July (July 11), followed by the customary Western Swing to Sutherland Automotive Speedway in Saskatoon (July 20) and Edmonton International Raceway (July 27).

Moreover, the historic Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, a revered event since 1967, will return on Sunday, August 11.

In a significant development, NASCAR appointed veteran Canadian motorsports executive Alan Labrosse as General Manager of NASCAR Canada. Labrosse, a distinguished figure in the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame, brings vast experience in various facets of the sport, transitioning from a successful driving career to business operations. His role will encompass fostering NASCAR’s growth and prominence in Canada, overseeing the NASCAR Canada Series among other responsibilities.

All NASCAR Canada Series races will be broadcast on TSN and RDS in Canada and FloSports in the United States, with the comprehensive broadcast schedule set for future announcement.
