The Nevada City native and NASCAR driver, Matt DiBenedetto, recently shared updates about his plans for the upcoming 2024 season via Instagram.
Dispelling any retirement rumors, DiBenedetto affirmed his passion for NASCAR, expressing his enthusiasm for continuing in the racing world and actively pursuing partnerships and sponsorships. “Everything is good in our world. I’m not retiring. I love NASCAR. I love driving in circles for a living,” he stated, highlighting ongoing efforts to secure sponsorships for the upcoming season.
In a social media announcement back in August, DiBenedetto revealed his departure from Rackley W.A.R. for the 2024 race season. Expressing gratitude for the growth and achievements during his two-year stint with the team, he thanked Rackley W.A.R., Curtis, Willie, Chevrolet, and other partners for their support. Although he currently lacks specific plans for 2024, DiBenedetto affirmed his exploration of opportunities across various racing series.

Reflecting on his disappointment over not completing the season with Rackley W.A.R., DiBenedetto extended gratitude to his dedicated fan base and the NASCAR community. He underscored his commitment to return stronger in the future.
In the preceding season, despite making the playoffs, DiBenedetto was eliminated in the first round. During his second season with the team, he secured two top-five and 12 top-ten finishes. Notably, his first victory, along with the team’s inaugural win, occurred in 2022 at Talladega.
Before his stint in the Truck Series, DiBenedetto participated in 248 NASCAR Cup Series races, achieving three runner-up finishes. In the 2020 playoffs, he capped off the season at 13th place in the final standings.
