CARS Tour Future Success: Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Vision for Growth and Development

CARS Tour Future Success: Dale Earnhardt Jr, alongside co-owners Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton, and Justin Marks, has set ambitious goals for the CARS Tour series. With zMAX coming on board as the title sponsor and an extended streaming deal with FloRacing, the series seems poised for a positive trajectory. Delving into his aspirations for the series, Dale Jr recently outlined the envisioned future for the CARS Tour over the next five years during The Money Lap podcast.

Earnhardt Jr articulated a comprehensive roadmap for the development of Late Model Stock Car racing within the series. The recent title sponsor change is anticipated to attract top-tier drivers from premier series, while also providing a platform for emerging talents to make their mark. This aligns with the owners’ vision, energizing their collective ambitions for the future. Dale Jr emphasized crucial elements that would drive the series towards a promising direction in the forthcoming half-decade.

Expressing his vision, Dale Jr remarked, “I would love to see a consistent car count of around 38 to 42. We’re not far from that, but establishing commitment from certain Truck Series and Xfinity Series teams, recognizing the value of participation in our series and creating a space for their young drivers to refine their skills, presents an opportunity for these teams. Additionally, it offers added exposure for their partners.”

Whether it’s his involvement in racing or overseeing the entire CARS Tour series, Dale Earnhardt Jr isn’t content with merely satisfactory outcomes. He perpetually strives for excellence. Despite the success witnessed in the 2023 season and the thrilling performance by the Kvapil brothers captivating fans, Junior believes there’s an untapped audience unfamiliar with the series or unable to access its compelling action.

The two-time Xfinity champion reflected, “Viewership numbers are impressive, but I sense there’s a substantial audience unaware of how easily accessible our races are, yet to discover us. I believe there are countless individuals out there who would become regular viewers of our races once they uncover us or realize the accessibility.”

With an extended partnership with FloRacing, the zMAX CARS Tour is scheduled to commence on March 2, 2024, at the Southern National Motorsports Park in North Carolina. Featuring a total of 20 events throughout the year, the series highlights include a return to Orange County Speedway and participation in the NASCAR All-Star Race Week event in May. While an increase in competing drivers is anticipated this year, Dale Earnhardt Jr remains hopeful that the series’ reach and viewership will align with his expectations.
