1. Kyle Busch Motorsports Hits the 100-Win Milestone: In 2023, Kyle Busch Motorsports made the leap from Toyota to Chevrolet. However, subsequent races saw the KBM trucks and drivers struggle to exhibit their customary pace. Approaching the Pocono Raceway event in late July, KBM sought one more triumph to secure their 100th win.
During the race, TRICON’s Corey Heim held a substantial lead, but a late restart positioned Busch within striking distance. In a daring maneuver on the final lap at the tunnel turn, Busch maneuvered past Heim to secure victory, marking a significant milestone in KBM’s championship-laden history.
2.GMS Racing’s Sudden Closure: August heralded a surprising announcement – GMS Racing declared its closure at the season’s end. Just days later, GMS driver Grant Enfinger clinched his third win at The Milwaukee Mile. Initially an ARCA Menards Series outfit in 2012, GMS transitioned to the Truck Series in 2013, ascending to full-time status in 2014.
