Alcaraz, who has a net worth of $20 million, got a behind-the-scenes tour of the garage and even tried his hand at using the jack to lift a stock car.

The Spanish tennis phenom was welcomed by Gordon, a four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and current vice chairman of Hendrick Motorsports. Gordon shared photos of their interaction on social media, calling it a moment where “championships collide.” Alcaraz also got a close look at the Garage 56 Chevrolet Camaro, a car that competed in the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans to showcase NASCAR’s capabilities on an international stage.

A Unique Experience at Hendrick Motorsports

During his visit, Alcaraz got an up-close look at the Garage 56 Chevrolet Camaro, which raced at the 2023 Le Mans. The car, which finished 39th out of 62 entries, was driven by NASCAR champions Jimmie Johnson, F1 star Jenson Button, and Le Mans winner Mike Rockenfeller. Alcaraz also spent time with the Hendrick Motorsports pit crew, learning how they use the jack to lift the car for tire changes.

The visit took place just after Alcaraz’s exhibition match against Frances Tiafoe at the Charlotte Invitational. The event took place in the same state where Hendrick Motorsports is based, adding to the excitement of the visit.

Looking Ahead to the 2025 NASCAR Season

As Alcaraz prepares for the 2025 ATP season, Hendrick Motorsports is also gearing up for the next NASCAR season. The team’s driver lineup will remain unchanged, with William Byron, Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Alex Bowman all returning in 2025. The season will kick off with the Daytona 500 in February, one of the most prestigious races in NASCAR.

Jeff Gordon Discusses NASCAR’s International Expansion

In a recent interview, Jeff Gordon shared his thoughts on NASCAR’s upcoming race in Mexico City, set for June 15, 2025. The event will be held at the historic Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, marking NASCAR’s first international points-paying race in Mexico. Gordon acknowledged the challenges of traveling between Michigan and Pocono Raceway, but he applauded the move as a step in the right direction for NASCAR’s global expansion.
