NASCAR’s 2025 season continues this weekend as the Cup and Xfinity Series take on Sonoma Raceway. With the season nearing its halfway mark, tension is rising and points are tightening. Meanwhile, TV coverage shifts to new channels and streaming services this week—so fans need to be tuned in right.

Full Broadcast Schedule for Sonoma Weekend

The NASCAR action from Northern California officially begins on Friday, July 11, with Xfinity Series practice and qualifying. Fans can catch both sessions on the CW App, with practice starting at 4:00 p.m. ET and qualifying at 5:10 p.m. ET.

On Saturday, July 12, the NASCAR Cup Series drivers will hit the track for their lone practice session at 1:35 p.m. ET on truTV. Qualifying will follow at 2:40 p.m. ET, also on truTV. The Xfinity Series main event—the Pit Boss / FoodMaxx 250—is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on The CW.

The weekend’s headliner, the Toyota/Save Mart 350, will go green at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 13. TNT will carry the primary broadcast of the Cup Series race. Additionally, NASCAR fans can stream an alternate “Driver Cam” experience through Max at the same time.

Fubo will also provide a free streaming option for fans without cable access. It includes truTV, The CW, and TNT, making it a complete platform for this weekend’s coverage.

Who’s Racing: NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Entry Lists

For Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350, the Cup Series will feature 37 drivers—meaning every entrant is guaranteed a starting spot barring any last-minute changes. Among the confirmed drivers is Katherine Legge, who returns to the No. 78 car for Live Fast Motorsports.

The Xfinity Series race on Saturday has 39 entries, which means one driver will fail to qualify unless there are withdrawals. Several notable names appear on the list. Corey Day returns in the No. 17 entry for Hendrick Motorsports, and Riley Herbst will drive the No. 19 for Joe Gibbs Racing. Will Rodgers, making his first Xfinity start since 2022, will attempt to qualify in the No. 70 for Cope Family Racing. Joey Gase Motorsports has also entered the No. 35, though the driver is yet to be named.

Track Background and What to Expect

Sonoma Raceway is a 1.99-mile road course located north of San Francisco, known for its elevation changes and technical corners. This will be the 22nd official weekend of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season and the fourth race at Sonoma with the Next Gen car.

Last year, Kyle Larson secured his third win of the 2024 season by holding off Michael McDowell at this very track. With playoff positions on the line and only a few road courses left on the schedule, Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 could once again become a pivotal race.

Martin Truex Jr., with four wins, is the most successful active driver at this event. However, it’s Jeff Gordon who holds the all-time record with five victories at Sonoma. Both drivers are part of the larger conversation around road course dominance—and this weekend may add another name to that legacy.
