Kaulig Racing Unveils Star-Studded August Driver Lineup for No. 11 Chevrolet in NASCAR Xfinity Series

Kaulig Racing announced its August roster for the No. 11 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, unveiling a notable mix of drivers for this critical stretch, starting with the Mission Foods 200 at Watkins Glen International. The decision comes on the heels of Josh Williams’ mid-season release, with the team seeking renewed momentum in the championship chase by leveraging the experience and skill of new talent, reflecting the excitement around the Kaulig Racing August driver lineup.

Fresh Faces Lead the Charge After Recent Team Changes

The team’s shift follows Carson Hocevar’s sixth-place effort at Iowa Speedway, where he filled in for Williams in the Hy-Vee Perks 250. Looking for continued stability and performance, Kaulig Racing has selected skilled competitors to take command of the No. 11 car during August events.

Michael McDowell: Experienced Road Racer Returns at Watkins Glen

This weekend at Watkins Glen International, seasoned driver Michael McDowell will handle driving duties for Kaulig Racing. McDowell, whose most recent NASCAR Xfinity Series appearance was in 2016 at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, secured a win at Road America during that race while representing Richard Childress Racing. The No. 11 Chevrolet will prominently feature Bailey Zimmerman’s latest album “Different Night Same Rodeo” as the primary sponsor.

Boasting over 620 starts across NASCAR’s National Series, McDowell has achieved victories in both the Cup and Xfinity Series, including notable triumphs at Daytona and the Indy Road Course. Currently, McDowell competes in the NASCAR Cup Series, where he drives the No. 71 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports.

Justin Haley Marks His Return for Daytona’s Superspeedway

Later in August, Justin Haley—McDowell’s teammate at Spire Motorsports—will return to Kaulig Racing to drive the No. 11 Chevrolet at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, August 22. Haley holds wins in all three of NASCAR’s national series, highlighted by notable victories at Daytona itself: he won in the Cup Series in 2019 and secured consecutive Xfinity Series wins there in 2020 and 2021. Hailing from Winamac, Indiana, Haley is recognized as a four-time superspeedway winner in the Xfinity Series.

This event will rekindle the connection between Haley and Kaulig Racing, which previously joined forces from 2019 through 2021 in the Xfinity Series and continued their partnership in the Cup Series in 2022 and 2023. Haley currently races full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series driving the No. 7 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports.

Will Brown Debuts at Portland After Earlier American Outing

Australian racer Will Brown is set to make his Xfinity Series debut for Kaulig Racing at Portland International Raceway on August 30. Brown previously worked with the team at this year’s Chicago Street Course NASCAR Cup Series event, though an early crash curtailed his effort after only two laps around the circuit.

At 27, Brown is the current Repco Supercars Championship titleholder and has recorded eleven race wins in that series. Competing for Triple Eight Race Engineering, he is second in the Supercars points as this August lineup is announced.

Future Considerations for Kaulig Racing’s No. 11 Team

Following these scheduled August races, Kaulig Racing will be tasked with appointing additional drivers for the remaining eight races in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign. The team will look outside the NASCAR Cup Series championship-eligible field when making these final selections, aiming to maintain competitiveness and capitalize on the foundation set during this critical August run.
