Spire Motorsports is preparing for their next appearance in the ARCA Menards Series as Corey Day is set to drive the No. 77 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet SS at Kansas Speedway during the Reese’s 150. The Spire Motorsports ARCA Kansas Race takes place Friday, September 26, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern, and will be broadcast live on FS1, the Motor Racing Network, and ARCARacing.com, positioning both team and driver in the spotlight as the penultimate event of the 2025 series arrives.
Corey Day’s Growing Profile in ARCA and Beyond
Corey Day, driving for Spire Motorsports, heads into this Kansas event with valuable experience in the ARCA Menards Series. This will be Day’s fourth time piloting the No. 77 Chevrolet SS this season and his seventh start in the development-focused series, where he has already recorded one top-five result and four top-10 finishes. In addition, last September, Day also raced at Kansas Speedway with Pinnacle Racing Group, qualifying ninth and managing to improve throughout the event to claim a series-best fourth-place finish.
That same September evening provided more high-level racing for Day, as he took part in his second CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race, qualifying 18th in a Bill McAnally-owned Chevrolet Silverado. Unfortunately, after contending just outside the top 10, contact with another competitor resulted in a 32nd-place finish. More recently, Day competed in the ARCA Menards Series at Sonoma Raceway, where he qualified third but his strong pace was cut short following an incident, leaving him seventh at the checkered flag.

Successes in NASCAR and Development Opportunities
In addition to his ARCA commitments, Corey Day has participated in 13 CRAFTSMAN Truck Series events to date, earning one Kennametal Pole Award at Las Vegas, two top-fives, and three top-10 finishes. July saw him take a career-best second-place finish at Indianapolis Raceway Park, just weeks removed from a fifth-place showing at Nashville Superspeedway in the Brian Pattie-led No. 7 Spire Motorsports truck. As a development driver for Hendrick Motorsports, Day has competed seven times in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in the team’s No. 17 Chevrolet, with his best result—a ninth-place finish—coming at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois, earlier this month.
Team Momentum Following Recent Victory
Spire Motorsports has built recent success in ARCA, most notably with Tristan McKee’s debut victory at Watkins Glen International in New York. After seizing the lead before a one-lap dash to the finish, McKee—just days after reaching ARCA’s minimum age requirement—held off his rivals to win and become the 38th driver to capture victory in their series debut.
Corey Day Looks Forward to Kansas Return
Heading into the upcoming race, Corey Day is optimistic about returning to Kansas Speedway, where he achieved his best ARCA finish last year. He shared his anticipation for the event, stating:
“I’m pretty excited to get back to Kansas. That is one of the tracks I have been at before, while it seems like I am seeing a lot of these places for the first time. I have a little bit of a baseline on where to run, given I ran this race last year. Excited to get out there Friday afternoon.”

Significance of the Kansas Event for Spire Motorsports and Corey Day
The upcoming Spire Motorsports ARCA Kansas Race represents an important opportunity for Corey Day to build on his previous successes at Kansas Speedway. The team aims to maintain the positive momentum established by recent achievements, such as the breakthrough win with Tristan McKee. For Day, Kansas offers not only a familiar circuit but also the chance to solidify his credentials as a development driver for major teams like Hendrick Motorsports, with potential implications for his future in both ARCA and the higher tiers of NASCAR competition. As the ARCA Menards Series season approaches its finale, the eyes of racing fans and teams alike will focus on Kansas to see how Spire Motorsports and their rising driver perform under pressure.
