Brodie Kostecki Helmet Auction: Own a Piece of Racing History

The Brodie Kostecki helmet auction, held in partnership with Lloyds Auctions, was officially launched today and will feature as a main event at the Pirtek Legends Night, hosted at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa on Friday, October 24. This highly anticipated auction benefits Motorsport Ministries, with every dollar from the sale going directly to support their work, thanks to Lloyds Auctions’ major partnership in the fundraising event.

Renowned for his victories, reigning Bathurst 1000 and 2023 Supercars champion Brodie Kostecki is contributing a unique Bell HP6 helmet, complete with a custom design by Siclids, a Melbourne-based custom helmet painting specialist. The winning bidder will receive the helmet directly from Kostecki after Sunday’s race at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 on October 26, making it a truly one-of-a-kind addition to any motorsport collection.

Helmets, Experiences, and Memorabilia Up for Grabs

The special helmet is not only a collector’s item but also comes with personalized perks for the auction winner. The successful bidder will get their name or their company’s name featured on Kostecki’s helmet for the final race of the Gold Coast weekend, offering rare access to in-car TV exposure. In addition, the winner will be awarded a pair of weekend tickets to the event, a chance to join the grid before the Sunday race, and the opportunity for a personal meet and greet with Brodie Kostecki both before and after the competition.

This one-off helmet is set to be used throughout practice, qualifying, and both Gold Coast 500 races before being presented to its new owner. Last year’s auctioned helmet fetched $13,000, and interest is already building this year, with the current bid having reached $4,800 only hours after the auction’s launch.

Brodie Kostecki explained,

“Last year’s inaugural event was an awesome night and everyone is involved for the right reasons,”

— Brodie Kostecki, Supercars Champion.

Kostecki also emphasized the importance of supporting the community, stating,

“I keep my helmets pretty tight, so it would be cool if we could rocket past the $13,000 we managed to get last year. Hey, it even comes with some fresh sweat stains from the weekend of racing.”

— Brodie Kostecki, Supercars Champion.

Additional Unique Auction Items and Experiences

The auction at Pirtek Legends Night is offering far more than just the Brodie Kostecki helmet. One lucky participant will have the rare experience of waving the chequered flag for the Gold Coast’s Sunday race, and enthusiasts can purchase a flag signed by every Supercars champion since 1993 or an original Pirtek Enduro Cup signed by all winners from 2013 to 2019. Generous donations also include $5,000 in lift services at The Boat Works and a highly collectible 1930 AJS motorcycle from the vintage personal collection of Tony Longhurst.

Other high-profile experiences include a private jet tour to the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000, a corporate day for 15 at Norwell Motorplex, a return trip for two to Highlands Park in New Zealand, a high-speed ride in a four-million-dollar Aston Martin Vulcan, VIP accommodation at the JW Marriott, lunch with premiership AFL player and coach Chris Scott, a corporate hospitality package for the next Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, a private dinner at Dick Johnson Racing, and the chance to stand on the start line between two top fuel dragsters.

The memorabilia selection is equally impressive, with auction items such as a signed wheel and tire from Marcos Ambrose’s 2012 Sprint Cup winning car, autographed by both Ambrose and Richard Petty, and the NASCAR pole suit Shane Van Gisbergen wore at Sonoma earlier this year, on offer.

Enthusiastic Support and Growing Momentum for Motorsport Ministries

Lee Hames, Chief Operations Officer of Lloyds Auctions, said this year’s impressive selection of items has led to high expectations for surpassing previous fundraising totals for Motorsport Ministries. Hames emphasized Lloyds’ commitment, stating,
