Noah Gragson Honors Survivors at Charlotte Roval Race

Noah Gragson is set to compete at the Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Roval this weekend, bringing attention to breast cancer awareness through a meaningful tribute during the NASCAR Cup Series race. As part of the “Windows of Hope” initiative, Gragson will display the names of survivors on his No. 4 Rush Truck Centers Ford Mustang Dark Horse, aiming to spotlight resilience and the significance of early detection.

Background: Gragson’s Track Record and Team Support

The NASCAR Cup Series is back at Charlotte Motor Speedway’s 2.28-mile road course, known as the Roval. Gragson has participated in this venue six times across both Cup and Xfinity Series events, with his top finish being a runner-up spot after starting on the pole in the Xfinity Series in 2020. This year, Gragson joins Rush Truck Centers and Cummins as they return with his team for this 109-lap event. Cummins Inc., recognized for its global impact in power solutions and sustainability goals, continues its support, providing both technical expertise and a commitment to sustainable racing practices alongside the No. 4 crew.

Honoring Survivors: Windows of Hope and Meaningful Dedications

In conjunction with breast cancer awareness month, Front Row Motorsports is featuring pink Rush Truck Centers mud flaps on their Cup Series cars throughout October. As a special tribute, Gragson will showcase the names Theresa Melville and Heather Hatcher on his race car as part of NASCAR’s “Windows of Hope,” a campaign created in partnership with the Erik Jones Foundation. The initiative focuses on raising awareness and celebrating those affected by breast cancer, and this year, the dedication is deeply personal for the team.

Spotlighting Survivor Stories: Theresa Melville and Heather Hatcher

Theresa Melville, closely connected to the Gragson family, has twice faced breast cancer. Following the recurrence of her illness, she underwent a mastectomy and is currently in remission, representing the strength needed to battle and overcome the disease. Heather Hatcher, the wife of front tire changer Thomas Hatcher, learned of her diagnosis during her initial routine screening at age 40, which led to her cancer being detected at Stage 0. Heather made the decision to have a double mastectomy and is now also in remission. Their journeys of courage and perseverance highlight the importance of awareness and timely screenings, echoing the central message of the event.

Driver Perspective: Gragson’s Optimism and Commitment

“I’m really looking forward to racing at the Roval this weekend, especially being close to home,”

said Gragson.

“It means a lot to be able to celebrate two incredible women who have beaten breast cancer and share their stories on our Rush Truck Centers Ford Mustang. We had some bad luck here last year with a blown tire, so I’m excited for the chance to bounce back and put together a strong weekend with the team.”
