Kaulig Racing fielded three entries in the IAA & Ritchie Bros. 250, each with high expectations after promising qualifying efforts, as all teams aimed to secure solid results at Martinsville Speedway. The Kaulig Racing IAA Race Recap saw moments of progress for the drivers, yet late-race challenges hampered their finish positions as they struggled to convert early gains into top results.
Christian Eckes Battles Through the Pack in No. 16 Celsius Chevrolet
Christian Eckes started the race in ninth place behind the wheel of the No. 16 Celsius Chevrolet. After an early caution on lap 34 prompted a strategic decision for the team to stay on track, Eckes found himself positioned within the top five alongside his teammates. Capitalizing on the early race shuffle, he closed out the first stage in eighth place.
As the crew made several adjustments during the break, Eckes restarted the second stage from the 30th position. Improved speed and handling propelled him forward, and he impressively fought back to end Stage 2 in third place. Entering the third and final stage from 20th position, Eckes continued to push, but was ultimately unable to recover from track position setbacks, finishing 27th when the checkered flag waved.
Daniel Dye Faces Adversity in No. 10 Champion Container Chevrolet
Daniel Dye lined up 22nd in the No. 10 Champion Container Chevrolet and made early strides following the first lap-34 caution, rejoining the race inside the top five. Despite a boost in the opening laps, Dye ended Stage 1 in 17th place.

Throughout the second stage, he struggled with turn issues in his car and was later involved in contact with another competitor as the stage drew to a close. These setbacks left him in 29th at the end of the stage. Dye opted to remain on track and started the final stage in 17th, but luck was not on his side—as he closed in on the finish, his right-front tire failed, triggering an overtime caution. This late issue relegated Dye to a disappointing 33rd-place result.
Brenden Queen’s Charge Halted by Late Collision in No. 11 Campers Inn RV Mobile Medic Chevrolet
Brenden Queen started from eighth position in the No. 11 Campers Inn RV Mobile Medic Chevrolet and quickly worked his way up to the front pack. Like his Kaulig Racing teammates, he benefited from the early caution, maintaining track position and finishing the first stage in third. Satisfied with the handling of his car, Queen took tires and fuel during the stage break and resumed racing from 29th for Stage 2.
Queen made the most of a subsequent caution on lap 91, choosing not to pit and advancing to third place. His persistence paid off as he secured second place at the end of Stage 2. However, Queen’s fortunes shifted in the final portion of the race; after moving up from deep in the field, a spin while fighting for 12th position resulted in terminal suspension damage. With no opportunity to return, Queen’s night concluded with a 35th-place finish.
Outlook for Kaulig Racing After a Testing Race Night
While Kaulig Racing saw their drivers rise to the challenge with strong early performances, late setbacks ultimately hindered any contention for top finishes in the IAA & Ritchie Bros. 250. The team remains focused on building from these experiences, with lessons learned guiding improvements for the upcoming rounds at Martinsville Speedway and beyond. The efforts of Daniel Dye, Brenden Queen, and Christian Eckes reflect the unpredictable nature of short-track racing, reinforcing Kaulig Racing’s commitment to adapt and compete at their highest level.
