AJ Perdomo, frontman for The Dangerous Summer, publicly expressed his gratitude to Earnhardt Jr. for helping feature their song “Dream” in the NASCAR 25 game. By supporting the pop punk band, the JR Motorsports co-owner introduced their music to entirely new audiences and created paths for the group to perform on bigger stages.

The fast-paced selection of classic rock, modern rock, and rap tracks provided gamers with an extra thrill during digital races, enhancing the overall NASCAR 25 atmosphere.
AJ Perdomo credited Earnhardt Jr. in a video for reconnecting the band with racing audiences and creating surprising onstage moments at music festivals.
“Dale and I go way back. He was a big reason why we got back together. I think we both talked each other back into a beautiful part of our lives. Not only did Earnhardt Jr. create connections at music festivals, he also secured a special trackside performance for The Dangerous Summer at Pocono Raceway in 2018, and his production team collaborated with the band on a music video project, merging NASCAR culture with rock music vibes.
“He showed us the NASCAR culture and that’s what I love to not only a champion of Music but a champion for NASCAR, the sport, the culture, everything about it,” Perdomo added.
AJ Perdomo has also described Earnhardt Jr. as a constant seeker of fresh music, even reaching out with recommendations at unexpected hours, reflecting a genuine commitment to championing new talent.
