RFK Racing honors Greg Biffle by unveiling a heartfelt tribute inside its team museum, celebrating his remarkable contributions following his sudden passing in a plane crash last month. The newly dedicated display captures Biffle’s legacy with the No. 16 Ford, offering fans and the racing community a powerful glimpse into his storied career and enduring impact.
A Museum Exhibit Dedicated to Greg Biffle’s Career
The centerpiece of the tribute is the iconic No. 16 3M Ford Fusion, which holds special meaning for both the team and fans. This is the same car Biffle piloted to victory at Michigan in June 2013, earning Ford its 1,000th NASCAR win—a moment that marked his final triumph in the Cup Series. Showcased alongside the car is a team photograph from the historic victory lane celebration, boldly featuring the sign reading “1,000 NASCAR wins Ford Racing” and highlighting Biffle’s place among the sport’s legends.
The museum further commemorates Biffle’s success with a vintage champagne bottle from his memorable May 2006 win at Darlington Raceway. Biffle started ninth and dominated the event, leading 170 out of 367 laps. His relentless drive included duels with top racers such as Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth, and Jimmie Johnson before barely edging out Jeff Gordon by just 0.209 seconds, marking his 10th career Cup Series victory.

Biffle’s skill in high-speed races is also honored with the trophy from his April 2012 win at Texas Motor Speedway in the Samsung Mobile 500. That race was notable for its brisk tempo, having just two cautions that interrupted a mere 10 out of 334 laps. During the impressive 234-lap green-flag run to the checkered, Biffle overtook Jimmie Johnson to lead the closing 31 laps, winning at an average speed of 160.577 miles per hour.
Heartfelt Touches Reflecting Community Support
Beyond race cars and trophies, the exhibit includes several deeply personal elements. A bouquet of heart-shaped roses pays tribute to the driver known lovingly throughout NASCAR circles as “The Biff,” serving as a gentle reminder of his warmth and unwavering spirit both on and off the track. These symbolic gestures reflect the outpouring of respect and affection from his teammates, fans, and the entire garage community.
In their public message about the exhibit, RFK Racing stated,
