Caruth Targets NASCAR Glory with Jordan Anderson Racing in 2026

Rajah Caruth is preparing for a pivotal season as he joins Jordan Anderson Racing NASCAR 2026, partnering with both Jordan Anderson Racing’s No. 32 Chevrolet and JR Motorsports for the complete O’Reilly Auto Parts Series schedule. After a strong start, Caruth aims to capitalize on his opportunities across both teams in the hunt for a championship berth.

Balancing Two Teams to Maximize Performance

Caruth’s journey to this point was slightly delayed, but the timing could not be better for his ambitions. In the upcoming season, he will split his effort: 23 races are slated with JR Motorsports, while he will drive the remaining 10 events in Jordan Anderson Racing’s No. 32 entry. In his initial three starts with JRM, Caruth stands sixth in the overall regular-season standings, with notable top-10 finishes showcasing his adaptability.

“From my aspect, I’m going to get the most out of the car, whichever one I’m driving,”

said Rajah Caruth, sharing his focus on maximizing results with both competing organizations.

“There is no reason why I can’t go and be competitive in the 32 car as well.”

Looking ahead, Caruth will alternate between vehicles, making his first in-season switch at Phoenix Raceway, followed by outings at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Darlington Raceway under the Jordan Anderson Racing banner. He returns to drive for JRM at Martinsville Speedway to close out March. When not behind the wheel of the JRM No. 88 car, Caruth’s seat will be taken by Hendrick Motorsports Cup Series drivers, starting with William Byron at Phoenix, Kyle Larson in Las Vegas, and Alex Bowman at Darlington, with Chase Elliott joining the rotation at Chicagoland Speedway in July.

Managing the Demands of a Dual Team Schedule

Despite driving for two different organizations, Caruth will consistently travel with JR Motorsports, pivoting between both teams for pre- and post-race meetings and analysis. At 23 years old, the responsibility of balancing priorities and travel logistics underscores Caruth’s dedication to professional growth.

He will be supported by five full-time teammates across the two teams. Caruth credits veteran Justin Allgaier for guidance but recognizes that his personal development will ultimately rely on self-reliance.

“In years past, I would probably be looking at a lot of my veteran teammates for a lot of advice,”

Caruth reflected, explaining his evolving approach to preparation. This shows a matured confidence, shifting from continual reliance on teammates toward independent execution:

“I’m still always a sponge, but I’m not going to ask somebody how to do some things. I’ve got my own experience to a certain extent. I can still listen and learn, but I’m not a puppy dog looking for the road map. I’ve got some good foundations now.”

Overcoming Setbacks and Focusing on Self-Belief

The previous season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series proved challenging for Caruth, with performance metrics echoing past seasons but a drop in average finishing position. The Wise Optimization program, led by Josh Wise and Scott Speed, played a significant role in helping Caruth rebuild confidence during a difficult stretch. He credits a refocused off-season for helping him regain the mental edge required to compete successfully in 2026.

“Just trusting in myself and the work that I’ve put in,”

Caruth stated.

“Showing up and spending time with the team, working hard in the simulator, that’s how I gain it back. Not comparing myself to other people because I guarantee you if anybody else was in the same situation as myself or had the same cards they were dealt last year or years before in their career, they wouldn’t have gotten to where I’m at — respectfully.”

Forging a Strong Partnership with Mardy Lindley

Since teaming up with crew chief Mardy Lindley on the No. 88 car, Caruth has registered noticeable progress. The pair has invested significant hours in the Chevrolet simulator, sifting through data based on Connor Zilisch’s previous year’s performances at road courses. Lindley has encouraged Caruth to focus on the present and his current support crew, rather than look back at last season’s impressive 11-win record set by Zilisch with many of the same team members.

“He is committed to what he does,”

Lindley observed about Caruth.

“He tries hard and is dedicated to getting better. Once we get into all these normal race tracks, I’ll be curious to see how it plays out.”

Lindley’s approach has centered on reducing pressure and letting Caruth feel confident in his role.

“I felt like he could be under tremendous pressure, and I don’t want him to feel like that,”

Lindley explained.

“This is his car; Mr. H (Rick Hendrick, owner) has put him in it for the races. We’re going to do the best we can with him. I just wanted him to feel comfortable and not feel overwhelmed, especially with Cup drivers driving it.”

Setting Sights on the 2026 Championship

For the critical last stretch of the year, Caruth is set to return full-time to JR Motorsports, including all nine postseason events during the Chase. Although Caruth refrains from setting definite performance benchmarks for 2026, he is confident he can contend in the playoffs and possibly for the championship trophy.

“There’s no reason why I can’t go and compete for the championship,”

Caruth emphasized.

“I’m confident in myself and the team. There is no reason why that can’t be us.”

Anticipating a Defining Year in NASCAR

With the combined resources of Jordan Anderson Racing and JR Motorsports, Rajah Caruth enters the 2026 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series determined to demonstrate his growth as a driver and capitalize on his hard-earned experience. Supported by teammates like Justin Allgaier, guided by Mardy Lindley, and strengthened by confidence rebuilt through Josh Wise and Scott Speed’s mentorship, Caruth has assembled the foundation for what could become a breakthrough season in the fiercely competitive realm of NASCAR. As the series advances, all eyes will be on Caruth to see how he rises to the challenge and stakes his claim for Jordan Anderson Racing NASCAR 2026 success.
