Justin Allgaier Scores Thrilling Phoenix Race Win After Setback

Justin Allgaier captured a dramatic victory at Phoenix Raceway on Saturday night, overcoming a slow pit stop to claim first place in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. The JR Motorsports driver secured the Justin Allgaier Phoenix race win by holding off defending champion Jesse Love in the closing laps at the Arizona track.

Allgaier Rebounds After Pit Crew Troubles

In the early stages of the GOVX 200, Allgaier lost crucial time when his pit crew had difficulty removing the right-rear tire from his No. 7 Chevrolet. Despite this setback, he kept pace and stayed in contention throughout the race. With only ten laps remaining, Allgaier overtook Jesse Love, who led the most laps—114 out of 200—but ultimately finished second.

Podium Finishers and Top Ten Standouts

Carson Kvapil joined the front runners with a third-place finish, while Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer completed the top five. The remainder of the top ten in this tightly contested event featured strong performances from Sammy Smith, Jeb Burton, Rajah Caruth, Corey Day, and Anthony Alfredo.

Looking Ahead to Las Vegas

As the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series continues, drivers and fans now turn their attention to The LiUNA! race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, set for next Saturday evening. The event will be broadcast live on The CW and covered by PRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, promising more intense action after the excitement at Phoenix Raceway.

Allgaier’s resilience at the Phoenix track highlights both the challenges and opportunities within the series, setting the stage for another dramatic contest as the race season progresses.
