Sam Mayer Xfinity Victory: A Game-Changer and Confidence Booster

Sam Mayer Xfinity Victory: Securing his first NASCAR Xfinity Series victory at Road America in his home state of Wisconsin was more than just a win for Sam Mayer; it was a game-changer. “I know I can do it now,” Mayer asserts confidently. “I’ve experienced what that feels like and what that looks like. I just have a lot more confidence showing up at the race track. I’ve beaten all of you before. I can do it again.”

That victory not only propelled him into the playoffs but also granted him a ticket to the round of 8. His triumph at the Charlotte Roval, a walk-off win, showcased his skills and determination, advancing him further. Looking ahead to 2024, Mayer has even more reason to be optimistic with a contract from JR Motorsports solidifying his position.

“Getting wins? Winning solves everything,” Mayer reflects. “And obviously that helps get a contract together too. So, having everything kind of come together at once feels really good. We had a little bit of a rough patch here the last 2, 3 weeks or so. Nothing that we can really control. It’s just part of racing.”

But Mayer isn’t just aiming for wins; he’s adding his unique touch to celebrations with his patented Hulk celebration, a tradition that dates back to his go-karting days. “Back in go-karts, when I was doing those full-time? I would, that would just be the thing I would do, whenever I would win,” Mayer recalls. “And it would be in the go-kart as you’re running across the finish line. So it would look a little cooler when you’re running like 70 miles an hour past everybody. But that’s kind of where it originated. It just popped back in my head.”

Currently sitting in the sixth position in the NASCAR Xfinity points standings, Mayer is gearing up for another playoff performance, aiming to secure his spot in the final four. With newfound confidence and a knack for winning, Mayer’s journey in the NASCAR Xfinity Series promises excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead.
