Bayley Currey Full-Throttle Journey: In a significant move for his racing career, Bayley Currey is set to make a full-time entry into the NASCAR Truck Series with Niece Motorsports in 2024. Currey, who has been a part-time contender in the series since 2017, has shown notable progress this year, securing three top-five finishes and four top-tens in ten starts with Niece Motorsports.
Currey’s remarkable performance in 2023, including a fourth-place finish at Atlanta, has earned him the opportunity to race full-time next season. With 43 part-time Truck Series races under his belt and 111 starts in the Xfinity Series, Currey brings valuable experience to the table. His best Xfinity Series finish came at Phoenix in 2021, where he secured a seventh-place position. In the Cup Series, he has participated in 12 races, achieving his career-best result of 25th at Pocono in 2019.
As for the 2024 season, specific sponsorship details for Currey’s campaign are anticipated to be unveiled by the end of the year. Currey expressed his excitement about the upcoming opportunity, emphasizing the support he has received from Niece Motorsports. He highlighted his firsthand experience with the team’s meticulous preparation and expressed his eagerness to compete for wins next season.
Niece Motorsports General Manager, Cody Efaw, praised Currey’s talent and work ethic. He emphasized the team’s high expectations for the upcoming season, underscoring Currey’s dedication both on and off the track. This announcement follows Niece Motorsports’ recent decision to appoint Matt Mills as the full-time driver of the No. 42 Chevrolet, replacing Carson Hocevar, who is transitioning to the Cup Series.
