Busch Light Joins Trackhouse: Ross Chastain’s Sponsorship Shift in NASCAR

Busch Light Joins Trackhouse: Busch Light, a long-standing sponsor with Stewart-Haas Racing, has shifted gears, moving over to Trackhouse Racing Team for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. The sponsorship transition sees Ross Chastain’s No. 1 Chevrolet backed by Busch Light’s support for the upcoming season and beyond. Meanwhile, the former Trackhouse sponsor, AdventHealth, has now ventured into a partnership with Legacy Motor Club.

AdventHealth has confirmed its sponsorship of Erik Jones‘ No. 43 Chevrolet, now sporting the Toyota badge, for six races in the upcoming season. The notable lineup includes the prestigious Daytona 500 scheduled at Daytona International Speedway in mid-February. Additionally, the health care company announced its sponsorship of team co-owner Jimmie Johnson for three races.

Johnson, the seven-time Cup Series champion, marked his return to NASCAR after a brief hiatus in 2023, competing as both a part-time driver and co-owner at Legacy Motor Club. Despite participating in three races last season before a family tragedy, Johnson had intended to race in more events. His appearances included the Daytona 500, the Circuit of the Americas road course race, and the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

AdventHealth is set to support Johnson in three specific races during 2024: Texas Motor Speedway on April 14, Kansas Speedway on May 5 – aptly named the AdventHealth 400, and Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 26. Notably, this excludes sponsorship for the season opener.

While AdventHealth won’t feature in Johnson’s Daytona 500 sponsorship, it doesn’t rule out his potential participation. With plans last year to compete in at least four races, including the Daytona 500, it’s possible he might expand his schedule beyond the current three-race lineup.

It’s important to note that Johnson’s No. 84 Toyota lacks a charter, meaning he’d need to qualify for the Daytona 500 based on speed or via the Bluegreen Vacations Duels. His starting position wouldn’t be assured.

For Johnson, a victory remains elusive since 2017, yet he pursues an 84th career win to tie for fourth place on the all-time wins list alongside Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison. Seeking redemption after a winless 2023, during which he couldn’t complete any of his three starts, Johnson aims for a stronger showing in 2024.

Legacy Motor Club’s driver lineup also includes John Hunter Nemechek. Returning to full-time Cup Series action after his 2020 stint, Nemechek takes the helm of the No. 42 Toyota, stepping in for Noah Gragson, who competed for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series throughout 2023.
