Renowned NASCAR insider, Bob Pockrass, has given his prediction for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series. The competition is heating up as the series gets ready for its 10th race, the Jack Link’s 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Among the top five racers, Pockrass confidently predicts Team Penske driver Austin Cindric to emerge victorious on Sunday, April 27.
Despite Austin Cindric’s less-than-impressive past performances at the 2.66-mile-long superspeedway, Pockrass sees potential in his races with only one top-five finish in his six Talladega races. Cindric also starts from a relatively favorable seventh position in the 39-driver field, potentially allowing him a clear path towards victory.
Rounding out Pockrass’ top-five predictions includes past champion Ryan Blaney, alongside Kyle Busch, Bubba Wallace, and William Byron. Additionally, Pockrass has named Zane Smith as an unexpected contender for the race.
Inverting under the radar with two top-10 finishes in the current season, Austin Cindric holds a competitive average finish of 18.8 in nine races. He is currently ranked 22nd in the Cup Series points table. Surprisingly, Cindric carries the fourth-highest odds of +1600, hinting at an exciting conclusion to the Jack Link’s 500.
Notably, the favorites to win the event among Pockrass’ picks, Ryan Blaney, and Kyle Busch, are set to start second and ninth respectively on Sunday. Other key competitors include NASCAR veteran Brad Keselowski, the most successful active driver with four wins at the Talladega spring race.
Adding to the chatter, 2014 Cup Series champion and commentator, Kevin Harvick, also chose Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney as a favorite on his show, Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour. According to Harvick’s words, Blaney could see his first win of the season.
Excitement buzzes in the air as fans ready themselves for the 188-lap Cup Series race on the longest oval track on the schedule at Talladega Superspeedway, starting 3 pm ET this Sunday. This anticipated event fuels speculation amongst audiences, proving the ever-increasing fascination with NASCAR and its dedicated drivers.
