Jesse Love, poised as the only Richard Childress Racing contender in the 2025 Xfinity Series Championship 4, is set to take on a trio of JR Motorsports drivers at Phoenix Raceway this November. Ahead of the high-stakes event, Love discussed his mindset and ongoing determination, demonstrating that the challenge of being the lone non-JRM driver has not shaken his resolve in the Jesse Love Xfinity Series journey.
The young driver, representing Richard Childress Racing, has built a season marked by consistency both during regular races and throughout the playoff sequence. Love punched his ticket to the playoffs with a milestone win at the inaugural Daytona International Speedway event earlier in 2025. That early achievement kept him firmly in the championship conversation, even as he pursued a second victory behind the wheel of the #2 Chevy.
Love Prepares for Intense Battle With JR Motorsports Rivals
After an impressive sophomore campaign, Jesse Love solidified his place among the Championship 4 elite. The Phoenix showdown will see him line up against three skilled JR Motorsports competitors: Connor Zilisch, Justin Allgaier, and Carson Kvapil. While the odds may appear stacked in JRM’s favor, Love remains focused and steadfast. In a candid exchange with Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the Dale Jr. Download podcast, Love underlined his unwavering self-belief and drive.

“Um, it doesn’t matter a whole lot to me if there was one JRM guy here or three of them, right? I think that, uh, we’re all going to show up and perform at the highest level that we know how. And I just have to have the belief, right, that, um, all the work that I’ve put in throughout my life, and especially this year, and these last few months kind of tear myself back down and building it back up is is going to be enough. And I really do believe that it will be right.”

The Championship 4 event is scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Phoenix Raceway. The 200-lap race will be televised on CW and covered live by MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Ch. 90, with the green flag set to drop at 7:30 p.m.
Reflecting on First Xfinity Victory at Talladega Superspeedway
Earlier in the 2025 season, Jesse Love revisited the moment he clinched his first Xfinity Series win at Talladega Superspeedway. Prior to the Ag-Pro 300 in April, Love looked back on the strategic move and nerve it took to secure a maiden victory on the famed 2.660-mile tri-oval, a highlight of any up-and-coming driver’s résumé.
Driving the #2 Chevy, Love secured a second-place starting position in the 2024 Talladega race, clocking a qualifying lap of 52.871 seconds and topping out at 181.20 mph. The turning point came with a bold choice to stay on track as the frontrunners pitted, a gamble that ultimately paid off, propelling him across the finish line first for the landmark win.
“I’d always rather be lucky than good, and I kind of lucked out a little bit this race. I was so caught up in the moment of trying to win my first XFINITY race. Number one rule is Speedway, right? Don’t get too far out. Luckily, my car was fast enough. I was able to kind of make up for that mistake. They were coming off turn four here. I remember Brennan Poole got to my outside. I knew that if I could run him up off of four, I’d have all this distance to take.”

Since debuting with Richard Childress Racing, Jesse Love has accumulated 65 starts in the Xfinity Series over two years, notching wins at Talladega and Daytona International Speedway. His tenure includes 15 top-five finishes, 39 top-ten results, and an average starting spot of 9.3, cementing his status as one of the division’s most consistent performers.
The Road to Phoenix and the Championship Showdown
With the Phoenix finale approaching, Jesse Love stands as a testament to confidence and preparation, despite facing a formidable three-car JR Motorsports opposition. The event brings together drivers such as Connor Zilisch, Justin Allgaier, and Carson Kvapil, each eager for the title. Along his journey, Love has relied on steady performances and resilience, attributes sharpened during his time with Richard Childress Racing and in pivotal races at Daytona and Talladega.
As the spotlight intensifies for the 2025 Xfinity Series Championship 4, all eyes will be on Phoenix Raceway to see if Jesse Love can turn his determination and season-long achievements into a championship triumph against significant odds, bringing excitement and anticipation to fans and the NASCAR community alike.
