Layne Riggs, Front Row Motorsports Ink Multi-Year NASCAR Deal

Layne Riggs, the 2022 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series champion, has signed a new multi-year contract to remain with Front Row Motorsports in the NASCAR Truck Series, confirming his continued role in the Front Row Motorsports NASCAR Truck Series through 2026. This agreement ensures the Bahama, North Carolina native will return behind the wheel of the No. 34 Ford F-150, deepening his ties with the organization for a third full-time season.

Riggs Commits to Third Consecutive Full-Time Season

The announcement solidifies Riggs’ place at Front Row Motorsports as he again prepares to run the full NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series schedule in 2026 with the team’s flagship No. 34 entry. His progress with the organization has delivered strong results: across his latest campaign, Riggs has accumulated three wins, notching victories at Pocono, Indianapolis Raceway Park, and Bristol.

His consistency has also been notable, setting personal bests in both top-five and top-10 finishes, despite stiff competition from drivers like Corey Heim of TRICON Garage and Kaden Honeycutt from Halmar Friesen Racing, along with Ty Majeski of ThorSport Racing. In the current NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series battle, the No. 34 Ford F-150 remains a contender for the 2025 Owner’s Championship for Front Row Motorsports.

Reflecting on a Breakout Year and Playoff Journey

Riggs’ performance this season marked a significant step forward, even as he narrowly missed a spot in the Championship 4 after a tied playoff round with Kaden Honeycutt, with the final decision hinging on a tiebreaker. Nonetheless, Riggs emphasized the progress made by his team and the energy they bring as they look ahead to future challenges.

“This year was a huge confidence booster—not just for me, but for our entire team,”

said Riggs.

“Making a deep playoff run is no easy task, but this group made it feel that way. We’re ready for the offseason, but just as excited to come out swinging at Daytona.”

Despite the playoff outcome, Riggs has collected a career total of five NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victories, firmly establishing himself as a championship favorite heading into the 2026 season.

“It’s truly incredible what this team has done these last two seasons,”

said Riggs.

“This group of guys has had my back since day one and the bond we have formed is something that I hold close to my heart. We have really stepped it up compared to 2024 and it’s only going to get better. I’m excited to see what the future holds.”

Continued Partnership with Crew Chief Dylan Cappello

Riggs’ ongoing collaboration with crew chief Dylan Cappello has been a cornerstone of his recent success. Since Riggs entered the Truck Series at the start of 2024, Cappello has guided the No. 34 Ford F-150 program. Alongside his role at Front Row Motorsports, Cappello boasts his own racing credentials, including a 2023 ARCA Menards Series West win and a pole at the 2024 Allen Turner Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway.

“Dylan (Cappello) and I just click,”

said Riggs.

“Not only do we both have a racing background, but we both have mechanical engineering degrees. I can tell him how the truck feels, and he’ll know exactly what I mean and how to make it better. We work well together and have something that will hopefully carry us into another playoff berth.”

The Road Ahead: Chasing Championships in a Competitive Field

Front Row Motorsports, together with Riggs and the rest of the No. 34 team, has its sights set on the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Owner’s Championship. The outcome hinges on outperforming a group of talented competitors, including Corey Heim, Kaden Honeycutt, and Ty Majeski, each piloting for their respective organizations—TRICON Garage, Halmar Friesen Racing, and ThorSport Racing.

With momentum from a season of personal and collective achievements, Riggs remains focused and optimistic for the upcoming campaign. His partnership with Cappello, support from Front Row Motorsports, and proven ability on tracks like Pocono, Bristol, and Indianapolis Raceway Park position him as a central figure to watch as he prepares for a third consecutive full-time effort in the NASCAR Truck Series.

As anticipation builds toward the 2026 championship run, Riggs’ blend of determination, technical partnership, and leadership within Front Row Motorsports could prove decisive in the fiercely competitive world of the Front Row Motorsports NASCAR Truck Series.
