Jesse Love, a 20-year-old native of Menlo Park, California, began his sophomore campaign with Richard Childress Racing by taking the checkered flag at the Daytona International Speedway season opener. Throughout the season, consistency played a critical role for Love and the No. 2 Chevrolet team, as they accumulated two wins, nine top-five finishes, and 22 top-ten results, ranking second-best in the series and paving the way to the championship.
