JR Motorsports has confirmed that Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) will return as a sponsor in the 2026 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, continuing its partnership with Connor Zilisch and Wyatt Miller. The renewed Connor Zilisch NASCAR sponsorship 2026 cements KOA’s presence as a primary sponsor for a key stock car race and highlights the expanding career of the promising driver.
KOA will headline as the main sponsor for one event, partnering with Zilisch—who has raced with JR Motorsports since 2024 and secured a full-time seat for 2025. Zilisch stated his appreciation for working with KOA, the country’s leading privately held campground company, and embraced the opportunity to represent their brand on track.
In an important career move, Connor Zilisch will step up to the NASCAR Cup Series with Trackhouse Racing in the #88 Chevy full-time in 2026, while also driving selectively for JR Motorsports in the #1 Chevy. During an interview, Zilisch reflected on KOA’s continued backing, saying,
“It’s so cool to be back in the KOA Chevrolet in 2026. I really enjoyed continuing to get to know everyone from KOA this past season and learning more about their business. KOA has been a big part of my NASCAR career from the very beginning, and I am proud to wear their colors again next season.”
The partnership will see KOA sponsoring Zilisch in the #1 JRM Chevy at Chicagoland Speedway, scheduled for July 4, 2026. Fans will be able to catch the action live on CW, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Ch. 90, ensuring broad coverage for the event. Moreover, KOA will serve as a full-time associate partner for JR Motorsports in the upcoming year and will also extend its support throughout the season to Wyatt Miller, strengthening its ties with the organization and its drivers.
Zilisch Breaks Decades-Old NASCAR Record in Sensational Rookie Year
Connor Zilisch’s rookie campaign was nothing short of extraordinary, as he eclipsed a NASCAR record that had stood for over four decades. After the Kansas Speedway race in September 2025, Zilisch, then 19, surpassed the longstanding record held by Sam Ard with 16 straight top-five finishes in the Xfinity Series. The streak saw him finish second to Brandon Jones at Kansas, securing the new benchmark.
Highlighting this achievement, NASCAR’s insights page announced,
“Connor Zilisch has now scored a top five in 16 CONSECUTIVE NASCAR Xfinity Series races, surpassing Sam Ard’s 41 year old record to be the longest in Series history.”
Throughout his outstanding rookie season, Zilisch finished second overall in the championship standings behind Jesse Love. His 2025 performance included 10 victories, 23 finishes inside the top ten, 20 top-fives, and eight pole positions. Furthermore, he led more than a thousand laps, demonstrating consistency with an average starting position of 6.844 and an average finish of 8.031 over the year.
The ongoing partnership between KOA and JR Motorsports, capped by Zilisch’s record-setting rookie year, marks an important chapter for both the driver and his sponsors. For KOA, the sponsorship provides national exposure among stock car racing fans, while Zilisch continues to establish himself as a standout competitor. As the 2026 season approaches, fans and industry observers alike will watch closely as Zilisch balances responsibilities in both the Cup and Xfinity Series, aiming to build on an already impressive resume.
