Connor Mosack Returns to Spire Motorsports NASCAR Truck Series

Spire Motorsports has announced that Connor Mosack will rejoin the Spire Motorsports NASCAR Truck Series lineup for the 2026 season, piloting the No. 7 Chevrolet alongside Michael McDowell. This move brings Mosack, age 26, back to a familiar setting as he prepares for a 12-race schedule starting with the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and concluding at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Mosack’s return follows a full-time campaign with McAnally–Hilgemann Racing, where he drove the No. 81 Chevrolet last season and delivered consistent performances, tallying four finishes in the top ten and eleven in the top twenty. The seat he occupied was recently filled by Kris Wright, prompting Mosack’s decision to return to Spire for a second stint.

Team Dynamics and Race Schedule Highlights

Connor Mosack will join Michael McDowell as part of Spire’s part-time driver team in 2026, marking McDowell’s fifth career entry in the Truck Series at Daytona. Mosack’s personal history with Spire includes six races in 2024, where he notched three top ten finishes and secured a third-place effort at the 1.5-mile Homestead-Miami oval.

The 12-race campaign begins at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, delivering Mosack ample opportunity to showcase his progression and aim for his first win at the national level. The season will culminate at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, testing the field’s endurance and versatility across a variety of circuits.

The foundation’s founder, Denis Murphy, praised both Mosack and Spire Motorsports for their deep commitment to the organization’s mission:

Mosack’s Recent Racing Path and Future Prospects

While Mosack’s primary focus will be on achieving his first national series victory in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, his potential involvement in the newly-renamed O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Series is yet to be determined. Last season, he participated in six events during the latter part of the year, representing SS-Green Light Racing, JR Motorsports, and Viking Motorsports, with his strongest result being a fifth-place finish at Charlotte’s Roval in JR Motorsports’ No. 9 Chevrolet.

Mosack debuted in both the O’Reilly’s and Truck Series in 2022 and has steadily accumulated valuable experience in both series. There is anticipation within the racing community regarding whether Mosack will choose to balance Truck Series duties with further races in the O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Series as his career continues to gain momentum.

What This Means for Spire Motorsports and NASCAR

Connor Mosack’s return to Spire Motorsports for a part-time slate in the NASCAR Truck Series signifies a blend of continuity and new partnership energy for the team. Backed by charitable causes and bringing a track record of growth and resilience, Mosack will look to build upon his prior success with Spire and aim for breakthrough results in 2026. The alliance with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation further highlights the impact drivers and teams can make beyond competition, influencing lives within and beyond motorsport. With a determined lineup and a focus on making a difference, Spire Motorsports heads toward the new season embracing both competitive and charitable ambitions.
