Early Life and Background
Rajah Kirby Caruth was born on June 11, 2002, in Atlanta, Georgia. He developed a passion for racing at a young age, inspired by the animated film Disney Pixar’s Cars. His interest in motorsports deepened when his parents took him to a NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway when he was twelve. Balancing school, basketball, and a summer job, Caruth and his family raised funds to purchase an iRacing simulator, which allowed him to begin racing virtually in the eNASCAR Ignite Series after turning sixteen.
Caruth attended the School Without Walls High School, known for its strong humanities programs, and graduated in 2020. He later pursued a degree in Motorsports Management at Winston-Salem State University, which he completed in 2024.
Path to NASCAR
Caruth’s racing journey began in earnest when he caught the attention of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program, leading to his opportunity to race a legends car at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2019. His rookie season saw him achieve two top-ten finishes, setting the stage for his future in competitive racing.
