Born on 2nd September, 1998 in Columbus Ohio, U.S. He is the son of former professional driver Tim Cindric. He has a rich family legacy deep-rooted in the racing universe, with his grandfather being the owner of IndyCar team and Red Roof Inn founder, Jim Trueman. He completed his graduation from Cannon School on May, 18,2017 before he started competing in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN truck series.

Austin Cindric started his racing career in North Carolina, competing in legends cars and Bandolero racing. He moved up to the USF2000 National Championship in 2013 and 2014, finishing seventeenth and fourteenth respectively, first with Andretti Autosport and then with Pabst Racing Services. He also raced in Historic Sports Car Racing and secured a win driving a Porsche 944.
