Stefan Parsons: Rising Star Takes the Wheel at Phoenix

Stefan Parsons, the 25-year-old driver, is gearing up for what could be the most competitive race of his NASCAR National Series career. He’s set to commandeer the No. 25 Chevrolet Silverado for Rackley W.A.R. in the highly anticipated 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season finale at Phoenix Raceway.

In an official statement, Parsons expressed his sheer astonishment at the prospect of steering a truck that has made its mark in this season’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs. “It’s hard to put into words what this opportunity means to me,” said a visibly moved Parsons. He continued, acknowledging the exceptional work done by the team, “Curtis Sutton, Willie, Chad Kendrick, and the entire team have built a winning playoff-caliber organization. I’m honored to climb behind the wheel of the No. 25 Chevrolet Silverado and represent the Rackley Roofing and W.A.R. Shocks brands at Phoenix Raceway

Willie Allen, the team president and co-owner, shed light on why Parsons was chosen for this significant role. Allen highlighted Parsons’ unwavering commitment and dedication to the teams he has driven for. “Stefan has always been a good friend to us and works hard at the racetrack whether he’s driving or helping crew a car or truck any given weekend,” Allen praised. He emphasized Parsons’ strong work ethic and willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed, qualities that made him the ideal choice for this crucial race.

The journey to this point has been eventful for the No. 25 truck. Matt DiBenedetto commenced the season as the full-time driver, propelling the truck into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs. However, in August, DiBenedetto announced his departure from the team at the season’s end. When DiBenedetto was eliminated from the Playoffs, the team decided to part ways with him early, paving the way for a series of distinguished drivers to take the wheel, including Chandler Smith, Trevor Bayne, and now Stefan Parsons.

For Parsons, who has notched up 10 career starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, this opportunity at Phoenix Raceway could mark a turning point. His best finish of 17th, achieved in his series debut with Jay Robinson’s team at Bristol in 2018, serves as a testament to his potential. With the support of Rackley W.A.R., Parsons is poised to make a significant impact, aiming to elevate his NASCAR journey to new heights.
