Stefan Parsons is confirmed to drive the No. 7 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports at the upcoming Truck Series finale, set to be held at Phoenix Raceway. This marks a significant moment in Parsons’ career, as the Spire Motorsports Truck Series finale features him taking on a full race effort with an established NASCAR team.
Parsons Takes the Wheel for Spire Motorsports at Phoenix
At 27, Stefan Parsons brings notable NASCAR pedigree to Spire Motorsports. Known as the son of former Cup Series driver and FOX Sports broadcaster Phil Parsons, and nephew of 1973 Cup Series champion Benny Parsons, Stefan has built his reputation with nearly 100 combined appearances in the Xfinity and Truck Series since his debut in 2018. Alongside his driving duties, he also supports the Spire Motorsports Cup Series operation as a spotter for their No. 7 car.
Earlier in the season, Parsons drove Spire’s No. 20 Chevrolet at Bristol Motor Speedway and has raced part-time for teams such as Young’s Motorsports, Alpha Prime Racing, and Joey Gase Motorsports. His standout finish this year was a respectable 12th place in the Truck Series event at Texas Motor Speedway, demonstrating steady progress as the season unfolded.
Sponsorship and Parsons’ Eagerness for the Challenge
Spire Motorsports’ official announcement also introduced Transportation Charter Services (TCS) as Parsons’ sponsor for the high-profile race at Phoenix. The company, which has a significant business presence in the Phoenix area, will be represented on Parsons’ truck in this crucial event.

“I’m really excited to have Transportation Charter Services (TCS) on board for my first race with Spire Motorsports. Phoenix is a big market for TCS, and I’m proud to represent them on such a big stage. Spire always brings fast trucks to the track, and I’m ready to go out there and make the most of it,” he said. – Stefan Parsons, Driver
The anticipation for Parsons’ Truck Series return is especially notable, given the challenge and prestige of the Phoenix Raceway finale. The event presents a new opportunity for Parsons to enhance his reputation within the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Recent Setbacks and Support from Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Parsons’ recent run in the Xfinity Series ended prematurely following a multi-car crash in the opening stage, putting a pause on his playoff ambitions. Just prior to the Truck Series finale news, he participated in the Xfinity playoff round at Bristol Motor Speedway in the No. 35 Chevrolet for Joey Gase Motorsports. Starting from 13th, Parsons found himself caught up in a chain reaction initiated by contact involving Corey Day and Blaine Perkins, which resulted in heavy damage to his car and an early exit from the event.
Despite this disappointment, Parsons received encouragement from NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. shortly after the incident. The interaction, which took place at Bristol, was shared by Parsons in a post-race interview.
“He just was, you know, giving me some words of encouragement. I’ve been fortunate enough to know Dale for quite a few years now and he’s just, he’s one of the best people in our sport and really cares about all the people in this sport. So, he gave me some words of encouragement, told me to keep my head up, which I really appreciate. It means a lot coming from him,” he said. – Stefan Parsons, Driver
Building Experience Across Different NASCAR Platforms
Parsons’ racing journey started in the CARS Tour, where he drove the No. 98 Ford for Phil Parsons Racing—his father’s team—beginning in 2015. Having competed in the CARS Tour for three years before transitioning to the Truck Series, Parsons steadily built experience and resilience, qualities that now serve him in national NASCAR competition. His career has also included notable races with organizations like Alpha Prime Racing and Young’s Motorsports, further enhancing his adaptability as a driver.
What Parsons’ Run Means for Spire Motorsports and the Season Finale
With Stefan Parsons set to compete at Phoenix Raceway in the Spire Motorsports Truck Series finale, both the team and the driver aim to close their seasons with strong performances. This race not only symbolizes a professional milestone for Parsons, but also highlights the visibility that Spire Motorsports and Transportation Charter Services will receive on one of NASCAR’s biggest stages. Support from figures like Dale Earnhardt Jr. adds to the event’s optimistic momentum, making Parsons’ entry one to watch as the season concludes.
