The official Truck Series Eero 250 entry list has been announced for the upcoming race at Richmond Raceway, featuring notable changes including Andres Perez de Lara’s move to Niece Motorsports and Corey LaJoie’s debut with a newly formed team. These adjustments coincide with organizational shifts as the series prepares for Friday’s race and a packed motorsports weekend.
Perez de Lara Finds a New Home at Niece Motorsports
Andres Perez de Lara, a rookie contender in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, has departed Spire Motorsports to sign with Niece Motorsports. He will take the wheel of the No. 44 Chevrolet for Friday night’s eero 250 at Richmond Raceway, marking an important transition during his campaign. Over the next eight circuit races, Perez de Lara will work alongside crew chief Wally Rogers as he continues his bid in the series. With two top-10 finishes in 17 starts, Perez de Lara is currently ranked 17th among drivers, trailing Corey Heim by 463 points in the standings.
Shifts at Spire Motorsports and LaJoie’s Entry
As Spire Motorsports realigns its operations, the No. 07 truck will stop running for the rest of the 2025 season, and its accumulated points will transfer to the No. 77 Chevrolet. This change paves the way for Corey LaJoie to join the organization and drive the new No. 177 Chevrolet team, making a fresh start for both the driver and team at Richmond. Spire is still finalizing its plans for the Truck Series in 2026 as indicated in a recent release:
“yet to solidify its 2026 Truck Series plans.”
